3 buddies, 3 courses, 3 hours


Unfortunately we have had to cancel this event.  All teams will be given a full refund.

If you have never been out to these tracks they are awesome fun, whether you are a casual rider or hard core.This is an opportunity for you to have some serious fun or challenge yourself with some workmates / buddies.
Your team of 2-3 have a choice of 3 courses, (cruisy, a bit grunty and challenging!), each worth different points, and taking different amounts of time! And what's more you don't have to do the same course each time!
Teams have up to 3 hours to do as many laps as it takes to gain a set number of points.
The fastest teams to reach the target number being the winners, so a bit of strategy will come in useful!

In keeping with the relay spirit, team outfits are definitely encouraged and we will have a prizes for the best dressed teams!

Registration - 8.15 - 9.15am
Briefing - 9.30ish
Race start - 10am
Maximum time 3 hours

Team
Categories

2-3 in a team
Biz Mixed or Biz Open - all team members, must all work for or be family / partners of employees of the organisation. There are also non Biz team options.

Where there is less than 6 teams registered in a category, teams will be transfered to another appropriate category.

Course 3 course options with different points for each course.
Each course will vary by distance, how tricky and therefore by time.
*The aim is to reach a set number of points as quickly as possible.
*There will be a maximum time limit of 3 hours.

Course/ tracks

Teams will do between 5 - 10 laps - depending on the courses ridden, e.g hardest course is longest, trickiest and so worth more than the easiest course.
*Hard core riders can do a more challenging courses whilst fun riders can opt for easier courses
*Team members can mix the courses they do and they can be done in any order.
*Each team member will need to get a minimum number of points, which depending on courses chosen will involve a minimum of 1/3 laps per team member.

Course options

A. Simply Fun – 13mins– 20mins; Jungle Scout Return , Up half Jungle Gym, lower Beeline, Beeline Extension, Wetlands, Westside , Right on to Wetland 4WD, back to base. Points - 90
B. Snails Adventure
- 17 - 25mins, Up Jungle Scout, Jungle Gym, Up part *Labyrinth, *Right down Snail Trail
Left at bottom to base via Wetland. Points - 120
C. Eat my dirt - 25 mins – 45mins, Jungle Scout, Jungle gym, Pylon track, down *Labyrinth, Snail trail Left at bottom, Wetland trail to transition 5. Points - 170

Fast and furious awards

Winners of each category will receive a trophy and a 5 day trial (per person) to the value of $150 at altitude inc. Second and third place will receive medals.

Rules & other stuff

Each course will be worth different points
Riders choose their courses and can do a different course each time
All tracks will be one way
Courses will be marked
One rider from each team goes at a time.
Team riders will change over in the transition area,
Each team will have a team card and an 'electronic tracker' this will be used to record tracks on
There will be electronic check points on each route, to make sure you dont cheat!!
Times are then noted when team 'tracker' is handed in when the last rider finishes.
Times will only be recorded when teams finish or at 3 hours.

Teams will be able to set up their team possie in a set area on the day, (no set tent sites - just the quick and the dead!!) the transition area is separate.
