Wellington has the best variety of walkways located within a major urban centre in New Zealand and this is a chance for you to get off the tarmac and concrete to explore some of these awesome tracks.This unique team event includes an amazing variety of scenery and tracks.It will take participants through native bush and forest, and our glorious south coast, involving two Wellington walkways- City to Sea and the Southern Walkway.
Whether you are a casual lunch time runner, social walker or want more of a challenge you can participate, and probably find tracks you didn't know existed!

Race registration will be in Gordons on; Friday 14 Oct at lunch time 12- 1.00pm and Saturday 10-11am. |

Course and tracks
Run
Island Bay Parade, to Owhiro Bay,Tawatawa Bush, Berhampore Golf course, Wakefield Park, Mt Albert, Mt Victoria, Melrose Park, Mt Albert, Buckley Rd,Houghton Bay, then around the coast to Island Bay and the finish.
4 sections;
1. Island Bay Parade up Happy Valley Road, Tawatawa Reserve, Berhampore Golf Course, change over - Island Bay Soccer / Softball club rooms on Wakefield Park
2. Dover st, Mt Albert, Melrose, Karitane, Mein st, Mt Victoria, changeover Alexandra Rd - base Mt Alfred,
3. 3.5 - 4km loops of Mt Victoria, Mein st, up coromandel st, to water tower - change over. Cut off time 10.45
NB - parking will be at the south end of Owen st, near the Zoo, runners will then need to walk / run up to the water tower on teh 4WD track from the Owen St Bowling club. [there is no parking on Coromandel st, as residents use all car parking]
4. Up to Karitane, Melrose, Mt Albert, Buckley Rd, track down to Houghton Bay, round the coast to Island Bay Marine Ed centre.
Walk
Island Bay, Owhiro Bay ,Tawatawa Bush track, Berhampore Golf course, Adelaide Rd, up Dover st, Houghton Rd, Buckley Rd, then down through some cool tracks to Houghton Bay, then around the coast to Island Bay and the finish

Fit and fast awards
Winners of each category will receive a trophy and a 5 day trial (per person) to the value of $150 at altitude inc. Second and third place will receive medals.

As part of your entry we are including huge, wicked chocolate afghans from Zuleika in Island Bay for each team member. These are seriously yummy!! Plus goodie packs with vouchers for Mojo coffee...
