Touch

Tips to keep you active and ready for the action

Format:


Teams

 

 

 

 

Glothings & Shoes

Games will be between 20 or 30 minutes depending on number of teams entered.
Minimum of 4 games

Teams are divided into sections.

The top two teams from each section will play their Semi-finals.

Mixed grade.
6 in a team on the field, minimum 3 women on the field.
Max 14 registered players

Team composition rules must be complied with eg. Only organisation/company members and their immediate families and defacto partners are allowed to enter (NO "RING INS") otherwise your team will be disqualified.  This will be strictly enforced and will be enforced on the day by tournament coordinators.


Normal sports shoes are fine for this sport.
Rugby / soccer boots with moulded bolts are allowed to be worn on the field.
Boots with attachable bolts or spike are prohibited.

Shorts are the best to be above the knees, some excemptions maybe be given by judge's decision.

Team Points:

1 point per touchdown for Men, 2 points per touchdown for women.

Game Rules:

1.      A player can only play for one team.

2.      Teams must have at least 6 players and may register up to 14 players

3.      Teams and referees must be at the allocated field 3 minutes before the game is due to start as there is only 1 minute between game transitions

4.      A compulsory manager /team captains meeting will be held 30 minutes prior to the start of the tournament

5.      A team must wear a similar uniform (shirts all same colour). Numbers are also preferred

6.      Substitutes: teams may interchange at any time during the game from the team's designated sub area

7.      Ball to be grounded for a touchdown.

8.      6 a side

9.      Dummy half cannot score

10. The ball must not be thrown forward.

NB: Changing room and showers are available, as is food and beverages.
