Date & Time:
Mixed - Friday 9th & Saturday 10th October Round robins; Fri eve 6 - 9.30pm, Sat am and afternoon. All play offs & finals Sat evening.
For logistical reasons, teams will be allocated a time period, at any time during the Fri pm/ Sat day. If you have to play at a certain time/ day, ie am/pm, please contact the Games organisers. info@businessgames.co.nz Teams must register a min' of 20 mins prior to their first game.
(winners from Fri will go back to WIS for finals Sat night)
Teams:
Mixed - Minimum 2 males and maximum 3 males on court at all times.
10 players maximum per team.
6 players on the court at one time.
2 attackers, 2 defences, and 2 links.
A minimum of 5 players may take the court, to constitute a game.
Team composition rules must be complied with eg. Only organisation/company members and their immediate families and defacto partners are allowed to enter (NO "RING INS") otherwise you will be disqualified.
Scoring:
1 point for goals scored by attacks inside the goal.
2 points for goals scored outside the goal circle by either links or attacks.
Duration:
The game is played in two halves - total duration, 20 minutes.
Minimum 5 games.
Format:
Team - Mixed
Friday - 24 teams will play Friday night between 6 - 9.30pm, winners will then return to WIS on Sat evening for play offs / finals.
Sat - there will be am and pm sessions. Winning teams from the morning session will have to come back at the end of the afternoon session for playofffs.
Teams will be allocated their slot by WIS. All teams in a particular business catergory e.g. accounting, will play at the same time. e.g. morning or afternoon
If you have a really good reason, why your teams needs to play on a particular day / time slot, please contact organisers. However, this may then prevent your team playing within their Businesss ector.
Prizes:
Because of the large number of entries in the Mixed Netball, there will be several trophies and prizes awarded.
Overall Tournament winners Trophy and prizes 1st Place - Major overall netball Trophy with prizes and Champagne. Prizes will also be awarded for 2nd - 4th placed teams.
Top Business Sectors - Trophies plus prizes - where there are 5 or more different organisations in the same business sector.
